Top 5 Young Designers to Watch Out For at Amazon India Fashion Week 2015
The Amazon India Fashion Week kicked off today in the national capital. It is the 25th season of the Amazon India Fashion Week and going by the number, 25 top designers from over the country will showcase their autumn-winter collection in the event. Some of the big designers that will showcase their trends at the ramp include Abraham and Thakore, J.J. Valaya, Namrata Joshipura, Rina Dhaka, Malini Ramani, and Pankaj and Nidhi.
The show will see collections by many designers, but the central focus would be on young fashionistas who manage to gather attention every time. Here’s a list of top young designers:
Pallavi Mohan (Not So Serious)
Pallavi Mohan is a young and dedicated designer who prefers experimenting with subtle colours. Most of her collections revolve around lighter shades such as off-white, cream, pale yellow. From a closer view at her design pattern, one can make out that almost every dress of hers includes beautiful detailed and refined lace work.
Ruchika Sachdeva (BODICE)
Fashion icon Ruchika Sachdeva presented her first collection in 2011, and today she owns an standalone store in Hauz Khas area of New Delhi. She presented her label Bodice in the Vogue India Fashion Fund 2014 and won over the crowd, show and critics. Ruchika has a unique style that is beyond curves and cuts. Her dresses are loosely stitched, and simple.
Shweta Kapur (431-88)
Shweta Kapur started her label 431-88 in 2012 with a vision to bring luxury sportswear to the forefront. Her collection is an example of her focus on detailing and cuts. She crafts designs keeping in mind the modern woman, and her comfort. Her collection is a mix of aesthetic and urban look.
Payal Singhal needs no introduction. The renowned designer has given many amazing collections in several national and international fashion events. Each of her collections has a different concept and she is one of the designers who experiments with everything; Edgy to feminine and from casual to bridal.
