5 Most Menacing Villains of Hollywood

Every good movie has an even better villain. We have compiled a list of who we think are the best villains of all times:

5. Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes)

The Harry Potter Series

Though Ralph Fiennes has played a few evil men over his career (including a Nazi colonel in Schindler’s List ), but The Dark Lord, AKA Voldemort, stands out as one of the best baddies. After the success of the books by J.K Rowling, Ralph really took the role of the evil and the much anticipated Voldemort to new heights.

Most Villainous Line: “Astounding what a few drops of your blood will do, eh, Harry?”

 4. Darth Vader (James Earl Jones)

The Star War Series

Lord Vader personifies all that is dark and evil in The Force. When you get to see how he got to be the way he is, you empathize slightly. Though honestly,  it’s hard to forget all the other mean things he did.

Most Villainous Line: “I find your lack of faith disturbing.”

3. Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins)

Psycho

One character that immortalized Hitchcock movies and no one who saw the movie can ever forget the ‘eek eek eek’ back ground score. Psycho is considered one of the best horror/ thriller movies of all time mainly thanks to Anthony Perkins performance as Norman Bates.

2.  The Joker (Heath Ledger)

The Dark Knight

Over the years we have seen many Batman villains, however Heath Ledger as The Joker gives a creepy yet absolutely mesmerizing performance. Perhaps one of the best acted nemesis of Batman. This is definitely a Hall of Fame worthy performance and is sure to be embedded in our memory for a long time.

1. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins)

Silence of the Lambs

And for our No. 1 spot? Of course, Anthony Hopkins for his Oscar winning role as Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs. If ever you ever want to feel what it’s like have chills done your spine and goosebumps during broad daylight; this cannibalistic serial killer will do just that.
