What's This?

The most anticipated sporting event – the FIFA world cup is coming to a close.

Everyone has a favourite; however, here is our list of the four most likely teams that may end up fighting for the golden trophy.

1. BRAZIL

Neymar

Being that it is the home team, it has millions of fans chanting the national anthem. Brazil with their pride at stake will do everything to lift their 6th world cup.

They’ve had their ups and downs in the tournament but like every team has, they have Neymar as their X Factor. One can say that he has single-handedly brought them to the quarter finals.

2. ARGENTINA

Lionel Messi

Often considered one of the best players in the world, Lionel Messi, is the reason Argentina are one of the four favourites. Perhaps even lift the golden trophy this year. You may ignore Argentina, but you have got to love MESSI. With the only FIFA cup missing in his arsenal of awards, Messi fans, in millions are cheering for him and his team.

3. NETHERLANDS

The team that came in as underdogs; have managed to overcome every obstacle and with ease. With Robben, Van Persie and Sneijder attacking the opponent’s goal; they are going to be a tough team to beat.

4. GERMANY

Thomas Muller

The most consistent team in the tournament and perhaps the top contender to reach the final. The man to look out for, Thomas Muller, has a knack for being at the right place at the right time. With a sturdy defence and a threatening offence, the Germans will be looking to storm themselves into yet another Final.
