Here are the Nominees for the Oscars 2015

The biggest celebration of cinema is just around the corner. Each year the Academy Awards is the show that folks around the world come together to watch. It is as globally unifying a show as the Fifa World Cup. The nominations for this year’s extravaganza are here and there are several hits and misses in this year’s list.

2014 was a great year for cinema. Not only did we get some great action flicks such as Captain America and Guardians of Galaxy but also some brilliantly acted movies too. Films like Boyhood, The Imitation Game, Theory of Everything, Whiplash and Selma made quite an impression on the critics as well as general viewers. And it’s time to honor them for their service to cinema. The Grand Budapest Hotel and Birdman each bagged a maximum of 9 nominations.
